Description
If a non gypsy musician founds a Hungarian band and leads them even as a Primás, this venture can be called easily adventurous. Exactly this happened as the Netherlands Violinist Karel Boeschoten founded the group of Kalandos (= adventurously in Hungarian language) in Spring 2002. Since that time Kalandos is touring successfully in Switzerland, Germany, France and Hungary. The two Musicians Karel Boeschoten (violin) and János Rigó (Cimbalom) form the basis of the ensemble. All musicians performed on this record are playing world-wide with the famous gypsy Ensemble Rajko and playing together with well-known musicians such as Lájos Boross, Sándor Jároka, Sandor Rigó (Buffo) as well as Sándor Lakatos and Roby Lakatos. Karel Boeschoten selected title, which shows the Hungarian people and gypsy music in its most different manifestations for this CD Roma AmoR. On the record you will find among other things Hungarian gypsy romances and dances for competitions as well as trips into the world of the Romanian people Music. Since the fantastic appearance of MADONNA with the Gypsy Punks Gogol Bordello in the “Live Earth Concert” in London gypsy Music is again in all mouth. Completely in “Gypsy language”, the Trio with Madonna showed a sighing violin and a rhythm guitar, Roma music of its Best – like on this album.
