{"id":6271,"date":"2019-10-24T18:53:47","date_gmt":"2019-10-24T16:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/solo-musica.de\/?p=6271"},"modified":"2019-10-24T18:53:47","modified_gmt":"2019-10-24T16:53:47","slug":"henschel-quartett","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/solo-musica.de\/en\/henschel-quartett\/","title":{"rendered":"Henschel Quartett"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-6272\" src=\"https:\/\/solo-musica.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Henschel-Quartett-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/>Christoph Henschel &amp; Teresa la Cour, Violinen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Monika Henschel, Viola<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Mathias Beyer-Karlsh\u00f8j, Violoncello <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The quartet\u2019s musical journey has included many remarkable highlights.\u00a0 The Henschel Quartett played at the official re-opening of the Anna-Amalia Library in Weimar (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and travelled to Brussels as a Cultural Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany.\u00a0 In March 2010 the quartet was privileged to perform at the Vatican in the presence of Pope Benedict XVI.\u00a0 The quartet has regularly been invited to the Royal Palace of Madrid to perform on the four Stradivari of the royal collection.\u00a0 In June 2012 the Henschel Quartett was invited, as the first European quartet in twenty years, to perform Beethoven\u2019s complete string quartets in the prestigious Suntory Hall in Tokyo.\u00a0 In the same year Monika Henschel became the president of the newly-formed Association of German String Quartets, and in 2013 Christoph Henschel was appointed Honorary Professor at the University of Augsburg.<br \/>\nHighlights of last season and the current one include appearances in London, Amsterdam, Munich, Yokohama and Tokyo (Geidai University).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Henschel Quartett\u2019s recordings have been awarded many prizes, including the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik and several CD of the Year Awards (IMW).\u00a0 Their CDs have been recommended in such prominent titles as Gramophone Magazine, the Sunday Times, and the S\u00fcddeutsche Zeitung.
