Solo Musica releases new CD by Philippe Entremont

Philippe Entremont, born in 1934 in Reims, is one of the most famous French pianists and conductors. His extraordinary career began at the age of eighteen, when he attracted international attention with his great success at New York's Carnegie Hall. Since then he has achieved a highly successful international career as a pianist and for 40 years as a conductor, with countless publications. Over the years, Philippe Entremont has received all the major awards and accolades in the Music industry. In 2014, Sony Music released a 19-CD box containing all the piano concertos, which he has performed, among others, under conductors like Eugene Ormandy, Leonard Bernstein and Seiji Ozawa.
For more than half a century, Philippe Entremont has been pondering Schubert's Sonata No. 21 over and over again - this work is haunting and captivating, in spite of its simplicity also very difficult, just like the Fantasy for four Hands an absolute masterpiece. It's hard to find words to describe the beauty of such a masterpiece. You just have to close your eyes and be overwhelmed by its incredible magic. Entremont's haunting interpretation is now being released on CD for the first time at Solo Musica.

The CD will be released worldwide in January 2018.
